Farming/ Agriculture Projects
Tanzania is the perfect place to grow crops, as well as raise cattle, chickens, and hogs!
One of the things we want to do in Africa is support the local economy, and provide jobs for those in need. What we've found out is that farming is one of the best ways to do that. We have plenty of space to grow crops like corn, cassava, and onions. As well as raise animals like hogs, chickens, cows, goats, and bees.
All of these ventures provide our friends in Talawanda a job to do, and way to support themselves as well as the Project. Cows and goats are great for milk, as well as meat. Chickens provide eggs that we can eat and sell in the city. Bees provide delicious honey that can go on our toast and also be sold.
These farming jobs are also an opportunity for Safari Project to educate about farming, such as how to store crops and take care of livestock.
