We wound up with 40 roosters in the hen house. 33 of them were sold for $6 dollars each. A total of $198 dollars was raised. This was not in the original plan to sell them as we were going to use them for food but the offer of $6 dollars was double what we thought we would get. And the money came at a good time as we are preparing for Christmas.

Fruit, such as bannana, pinapple, mango, and ground nuts (peanuts) will be purchased for the children. Additionally, we will add sausages (hot dogs) to the menu. Each child will receive new shoes, and new clothing for Christmas. We have also planned a Christmas and New Year's feast for the children. This was all made possible by the sale of the chickens.

Two of our children have been sick with stomach problems. They were taken to the hospital and have received treatment. They are improving well. We have medicine for them.

We are in need of someone to help Naomi care for the children. Jennifer was my choice to do that job but she is now enrolled in Talawanda Bible School. She is in school each day and I am glad for that. We must find another who will be able to attend the children.

Fouston (the good man who takes care of our chickens) will be leaving for two weeks to be married. We are happy for him and his new bride. We have prepared a gift for his wedding on behalf of Safari Project. God bless them and be with them always.

School begins on January 10th. All children will receive 2 new school uniforms and school materials. Gapser will be in Talawanda for two weeks to make sure all children receive these items and are properly enrolled in school. He will also be there to take care of the chickens in Fouston's absence.

There are two children of the students from our neighbors at Talawanda Bible School who will join our children while the father is in bible study. (they have no mother) We will let them eat and play on our side during bible school as well as take them to school in Talawanda with the Safari Project children.

Thre are still 6 children in the Talawanda area who are in great need. We have not taken them yet as we are looking for funding to help them.

We are being asked to provide an office for Safari Project so we have official location. We will use the house built for Peter. (He has been moved to the Safari Project House) We will have some unexpected expenses for the office such as furnishings and some other required items.

After the sale of the roosters, 96 chickens remain in the house, 7 of which are roosters, 89 are hens.
